What exactly do we receive at the end of an engagement?

Every engagement ends with decision-ready artifacts, not slideware: baseline and target architecture models, a prioritized transformation roadmap, architecture principles and standards, and the decision records behind each recommendation. Deliverables are listed per service area above and confirmed in the statement of work before we start.

How long does a typical engagement take?

Focused assessments run 4–8 weeks. Full strategy-to-roadmap engagements typically run 8–14 weeks depending on estate size and stakeholder availability. Design authority and governance support are continuous and run alongside your delivery programs.

What engagement models do you offer?

Accepted Answer

Three common shapes: a fixed-scope assessment or design sprint, an embedded architect on a part-time retainer, and architecture-as-a-service where we act as your design authority across programs. We can also chair or co-chair an architecture review board.

How is pricing structured?

Accepted Answer

Fixed-scope engagements are priced as a fixed fee against agreed deliverables. Retainers and design authority work are priced monthly by allocated architect days. We share an indicative range after the first discovery call and a firm price with the statement of work — no usage-based surprises.

Do we need to use the EAOT platform?

Accepted Answer

No. The platform accelerates discovery, modeling, and governance during the engagement, and your team keeps access to the artifacts afterwards. If you standardize on another EA toolset, we deliver into it — models are handed over in open formats such as ArchiMate exchange, C4, and OpenAPI.

Can you work alongside our existing architects and system integrators?

Accepted Answer

Yes — most engagements are collaborative. We work with your internal architecture team and your SIs, and we deliberately transfer method and capability so the practice keeps running after we step back.
